You're also just a short drive away from the stunning Cape Greco National Park, offering hiking trails and breathtaking coastal views. Here are a few recommendations of what to visit in the near area.
Protaras Town Center
Soak up the scene on Protaras Strip! Bright lights, bars, restaurants and clubs – the strip in Protaras has it all.
Have a beer and watch your home team on the big screen, sit back and sip a cocktail, or take in some live entertainment. It's just a 5 minutes walk from the villa and you're there. For recommendations of our personal favorites just contact us, we are happy to help finding the best options for you!
Fig Tree Bay, Sunrise & Co.
The beaches along the coastline of Protaras, Pernera and Kapparis are definitely worth visiting. The closest one to the villa is Fig Tree Bay. Its crystal clear waters and fine-grained, golden sand has made the beach very popular and is why it features today on Trip Advisor as among the best beaches in Europe. But there are plenty other popular pale -sand beaches with sun loungers and shades for rent, plus oceanside bars and dining. There are also several small cosy beaches like Green Bay which are perfect for families with smaller children.
Green Bay Watersports
Beside the honor of being your host we also run the close by Green Bay Watersports & Wake Academy. We offer the full range of watersports to have fun, learn something new or improve your skills with a professional coach.
Our specialisation is wakeboarding, wakesurfing & wakeskating but of course we offer also waterski, monoski, sofa, rings, jetski, turlte snorkeling safari, speed boat trips, SUPs, pedal boats and canoes.
The waters in Green Bay offer the perfect conditions for all types of watersport activities as well as for diving for families, couples and singles. The sea is protected by the bay and we have minimal boat traffic, so the water conditions are perfect most of the days.
Cape Greco
Cape Greco is a national park very close to the villa. In a few minutes drive you’ll find the rocky peninsular known for its sharp cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and stunning natural attractions, including the Blue Lagoon, the Lover’s Bridge and the sea caves. Pack your snorkel gear and search for fish and turtles.
There are several hiking trails in the park, and climbing up to the top of the cliffs offers spectacular views and sun sets. There’s also a pretty little church called Ayioi Anargiroi. In the back of the church is a great spot for cliff jumping. Cape Greco is easily accessible by car, bus or waking.
Profitis Ilias & other churches
In the near neighbourhood of the villa are plenty of impressive churches and charming chapels. The best-known church in Protaras is Profitis Ilias, celebrated for its unique location on top of a hill that overlooks the whole town. Just behind the centre of this town, the church can be accessed only via 300 steps, but its views of the seaside and the town are not to be missed. For more striking views, head in the evening when Protaras is lit up. Profitis Ilias itself is beautifully illuminted, which makes it very easy to spot from town.
For the big and the small kids
WaterWorld is an Ancient Greek Themed Waterpark located in Ayia Napa, the town right next to Protaras. It is one of the biggest themed water parks in Europe and it has more than 25 rides. The park operates a large selection of rides and attractions, food outlets, souvenir shops and other facilities. Definitely worth a visit especially with adrenaline seeking teenagers, even though there are plenty of slide and water playgrounds also for small kids.
Parko Paliatso Fun Fair
Parko Paliatso Luna Park is a fun and affordable amusement park located in Ayia Napa, Cyprus. It has a variety of rides for all ages, including a roller coasters, bumper cars, and a Ferris wheel. There are also arcade games and food and cocktail stalls.
A bit smaller version of the Agia Napa fun fair is in Protaras, just a 10 min walk from the villa.
